Surveillance Detection CoursePCG offers a 2 or 3-week Surveillance
Detection Course to enable students to detect and recognize surveillance conducted against them by hostile and non-hostile foreign entities. Students learn to recognize the types and patterns of foreign surveillance teams as they occur in the real world, and acquire greater hands-on practical experience in developing and executing surveillance detection routes.

The ability to detect foreign intelligence surveillance is a critical skill requiring rehearsal and outside-the-classroom experience.
Surveillance Detection exercises are designed to train the student to recognize the types and patterns
of foreign surveillance teams. The exercises take place in realistic conditions such as:
• Open, public locations
• Roads and highways
• In geographic areas the student must study in detail
• In all weather conditions, during the day and during times of limited visibility
Students will learn to:
• Conduct casing in the development of a surveillance detection route
• Understand surveillance detection concepts and apply that knowledge in challenging environments
• Detect subtle and more overt indicators of surveillance
• Recognize the types and patterns of foreign surveillance teams
• Identify methods
and techniques of direct and indirect
observation
• Detect and identify surveillance by
individuals using vehicles
