Identifying and Assessing Potential HUMINT Sources
Purpose

This seminar gives intelligence professionals the concepts and tools to identify (spot) and access potential HUMINT sources to respond to information requirements.

Overview

Students gain an operational exposure to sociological, anthropological, and psychological aspects associated with collection management processes in support of HUMINT operations.
Client factors such as Operations Tempo or previous training often require a retooling of this seminar. As with all Phoenix Seminars and Courses, we will work with you to adapt this program to your organization’s needs.
This seminar can be presented from a one to a four-day program.
The one-day seminar is less exercise-driven, while the four-day program contains an extensive array of analytical techniques and ego and source networks. In both programs, students gain increased understanding of collection management and source “spotting” techniques supporting HUMINT operations; examples of crosscultural and multi-environment operational cases; practice in targeting tools and techniques; experience in developing an approach plan; and many other topics.
