Psychological Narrative AnalysisThis two-day course trains law enforcement and counterintelligence personnel in advanced methods of Psychological Narrative Analysis.
During this program, students learn how to effectively analyze verbal and written statements to determine veracity and/or deception. Topics covered during the instruction include Four Corners evaluation, statement structure and balance, verb tense and statement veracity, significance of articles in statement analysis, use of pronouns, distance within sentences, text bridges and micro-action interviews.
As a complement to classroom instruction, students participate in numerous practical exercises using actual statements to practice and test their skills. In addition, each student will participate in an authentic final statement analysis and interview exercise as a final evaluation of their learned skills. Each student is provided individual written evaluations and critiques.
